    Superb

The location was great on the lake and just outside the village (so lots of shops and eating places nearby). Everything within walking distance (even the laundry Clean Jeans). The cabins are cosy and clean with cooker, large fridge and pool was lovely and warm. Pool table, tennis table, basket ball and videos/dvds too so plenty to do on site when not out walking or on the lake.

We love that it is so dog friendly and has lake access. Our pups had a blast swimming in the lake. Also enjoyed the jacuzzi in our cabin. Was very relaxing after a day of hiking and playing with our dogs. Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful as well. Great place to stay! We will be back!

We really loved everything about it.

    Very good

Good location for getting around lake and close to shops.

We thought the jacuzzi a bit overkill, especially the one in the living area. They need some cabins for seniors with regular showers.

our stay was absolutely fantastic, it was a pleasant and memorable experience and would love to stay there again. The staff were very helpful, and couldnt do enough to make our stay a happy one. The rooms were well equipped with fridge and coffee making facility,tv and plenty of towels, even for the pool, and the proximity to the lake made it the perfect place to stay.

    nothing, it was perfect

    Exceptional

Location, friendly staff, clean rooms, next to the lake.

The rooms were a bit warm at night. This due to the sun beating down on the window all day and he room is geared for keeping the cold out. Believe they should add ceiling fans over the beds.

    location was keen

was very turned off by room. i thought we would be in a cabin; instead i was located in a room that was comparable to a motel 6 that was highly overpriced

We were looking for a hotel where we could bring our dog. This place was dog-friendly! Our cabin was cozy and clean and we loved that we could walk out the door to the lake and walk our dog. We were close to town so we could go to a restaurant and not be driving too far or be gone too long. It was perfect for our getaway!

The price was low. The location was great...right on the lake. The rooms were spacious and a lot nicer than I thought they would be. Loved the convenience of a little fridge and microwave.

Other guests cigarette smoke would seep through our motel door from outside. Also the smell of marijuana came in our room though the connecting door. You could hear stomping all night in the room above us. I would suggest a private cabin or an upstairs room.

    Superb

We liked big bear because of the location and the availability of cabins, as well as hotel rooms. With 8 of us we opted for adjoinning rooms, both with fireplace. Walking distance from big bear village and few miles away from the ski slopes and tubing areas. Perfect for a few day gettaway to the mountains

Would have like an breakfast option, so we could get going with our day

    Fabulous

Simple room with cable and fridge/microwave. Perfect for our family, but not a kitchenette, like I expected (maybe those are in the cabins?) Ours was room 118 with 2 queen beds for the 5 of us. Our youngest is still small enough to sleep with his parents, so it was fine, inexpensive for 2 nights. Note: hotel takes credit cards, but many restaurants/businesses there are cash only, so come prepared to pay in cash for lots of things. We mostly played board games and watched tv in the room - just wanted to relax with the family - no agenda.

Bathroom was a little cramped for space. One drawer of the dresser was broken. One tiny bottle of shampoo for 5 people was a bit skimpy-- but they put more in there on day 2 of our stay without us even asking.
